Some Carranza staff members had the pleasure of taking part in a Luau-themed lunch for Acute Care Unit B nurses, and their clients, at The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), in celebration of National Nursing Week.
We were able to show our support for the admirable and challenging work that these particular nurses do in providing short-term stabilization and treatment for clients who are experiencing an acute exacerbation of schizophrenia and related disorders. We were informed as to how clients end up in the unit, the intake process, how the discharge process works, and the day-to-day difficulties the nurses face in providing treatment for their clients. It was a great experience overall, which increased the respect we at Carranza have for nurses everywhere. Happy International Nurses Day to all practitioners!
