Growing up in Saskatchewan, Anu Bakshi witnessed hard work and a sense of community, which is the key to every aspect of her practice.
Anu devotes her practice to health justice, which consists of administrative law as well as insurance litigation. She has appeared before the Superior Court of Justice, Financial Services Commission of Ontario, Licence Appeal Tribunal, Workplace and Safety Appeals Tribunal and various other tribunals. She also has a special interest in long-term disability cases.
Anu was one of the founders of the South Asian Legal Clinic of Ontario, a legal aid clinic that services the most vulnerable members of that community, and currently serves on the Board of Directors. She has taught part-time at Seneca College and given seminars at the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association and the Health Justice Initiative. Additionally, she is a part-time adjudicator.
Anu firmly believes in access to justice and fair compensation for victims pursuing disability benefits.
