Immigration consultant Macdonald Scott was quoted in an article on The Lawyer's Daily, "Lawyers, doctors protest Ontario cuts to legal aid, immigration advocacy."
"'I don’t want to overexaggerate, but people are going to die because my clients who go through domestic violence will be sent back to situations of domestic violence,' said Scott, adding that some refugee claimants will end up being sent back to face persecution in their homelands.
'A lot of our stuff is life and death,' he said."
