Objective

some opportunity to work in the area of immigration if the student so desires.

Marketing Assistant
As Marketing Assistant you are responsible for coordinating
all the logistical aspects of our numerous ways of communicating to the public
who we are as a firm and what we do, under the direction of and as assistant to
our marketing team of lawyers. You will excel in this job if you are committed

Job Duties
The basic duties of this job include:

Coordinate with website developer to keep the website
current;

Coordinate with internal and external workers in
development of firm promotional materials, including pamphlets, print ads,
television and/or radio ads, ‘give away’ items, etc.

Coordinate firm advertising and media buys in
professional and community publications;

Identify potential referral sources and coordinate
communication strategy with them; maintain marketing contact lists and
records.

Track responses to marketing initiatives through
referral data; prepare quarterly reports for the marketing team;

Research, coordinate and organize trade show and
conference attendance by the firm;

Research, coordinate and organize sponsorship of

LAWYER - Six Month Contract
We are looking for a lawyer
to assume carriage of the caseload of one or our associates,
Anu Bakshi, who will be going on maternity leave from
October to April. The work will include day-to-day management of approximately
115 files; reviewing and responding to correspondence, ensuring undertakings are
fulfilled, and responding to motions. You will have the support of the other
lawyers in the firm, and Ms. Bakshi will provide guidance concerning major
issues, particularly after the first three months.
To be an associate at this

Assistants at Carranza work
under the supervision of a lawyer as part of a litigation team. You will work
on both Accident Benefits claims and personal injury litigation files. You need
to have a comfortable level of familiarity with the area of law and legal
procedure with which you work. You must be comfortable with the office
software, use precedents and be able to draft correspondence without spelling,
grammar, or substantive errors. You must have the ability to multi-task while
paying attention to details. Your precise role within your team will depend on
the relative strengths of team members, so you must be adaptable and able to
work cooperatively within a team structure made up of disparate personalities.
You must be able to foster a sense of teamwork with the broader office support
staff.

ROOM / SERVICES AREA CLERK
The filing room team is
responsible for the office’s information distribution system, and for our
services area. Team staff rotate between the two areas. In the file room, you
channel all incoming mail, courier and faxes into the proper electronic and
physical files. In the service area, you assist staff with photocopying, faxing
and binding. You must be able to work cooperatively as part of a team within
the file room, and to foster a sense of teamwork with the broader office. You
need to be organized, focused and attentive to detail, as well as being able to
calmly locate and retrieve information for co-workers in a pleasant and helpful
fashion. You must have an understanding of office equipment, and the ability to
organize multiple tasks efficiently You will excel at this position if you
